How does i-lipo work?

The i-lipo emits low levels of laser energy, disrupting fat cell membranes and releasing fat from inside. This causes the cell to lose its round shape. It does not affect other structures such as skin, blood vessels, and peripheral nerves.

Triglycerides spill out from the broken cell membranes and are released into body where they are slowly metabolised naturally through the body and used as an energy source, with no adverse physiological effects. Light exercise after treatment can accelerate the breakdown and removal of fat from the area.

Why should I choose i-lipo?

i-lipo has many advantages over other similar systems, such as

• It is clinically proven: Independent clinical studies have shown i-lipo to be, in some cases, comparable to results achieved by traditional liposuction. Ultrasound imagery shows up to a 30% reduction in the fat layer depth after just one treatment, with additional treatments improving results further. Results can be seen immediately after each treatment as the fat cell contents are released.
• It is affordable: Compared to surgical liposuction and other laser or ultrasound techniques i-lipo is more affordable while producing similar results.
• It is safe and painless: i-lipo is a low level laser diode system, therefore it is painless and completely safe. It can be used on all skin types and all areas of the body. Crucially, you can return to normal activity immediately after treatment - there is no waiting to heal like after surgery.
• Immediate results: Results can be seen immediately after treatment. Typically each treatment can produce a 2-4cm loss measured around the abdomen. A course of 8 treatments is recommended over 4 weeks with 2 treatments per week for full advantage.
• Targeted fat reduction: i-lipo can target specific areas for fat reduction, for example the chin, upper arms, abdomen or thighs. By positioning the laser pads on the target area fat can be broken down and specifically removed from that area. This is a big advantage over diet and exercise which can reduce overall body fat but not shape individual areas.
