Dermal Rolling

From £150

Dermal Rolling is the low-cost/high results alternative to treatments such as laser resurfacing, derma/microbrasion, and chemical peeling.

The roller uses 200 very fine needles to pierce the epidermis thereby stimulating collagen formation. The resulting 'micro-channel effect' also helps vitamin creams, serums, and other topical applications infuse into the skin, increasing their effectiveness.

Medical Microneedling (dermal rolling) could be your alternative to laser resurfacing, available for patients not suited to laser treatment or who would like a less invasive procedure with fewer risks.

  • Dermal rolling is not painful.
  • There is a very short healing period - you can be back in public in 5 days.
  • It is cost effective, cheaper than laser treatments.
  • It can be used on thin skin - in fact it should make your skin thicker.
  • There is no permanent damage to the skin or risk of sun sensitivity as with other treatments.
  • It can safely be repeated for better results and can be used on laser resurfaced skin.
  • Your roller may be stored for you and then be re-used on you at any stage.
  • Dilated blood vessels may be minimised or disappear.

Why might Microneedling be best for me?

Other treatments such as dermabrasion, acid-peeling and laser re-surfacing aim to remove the protective epidermis and set a 2nd degree burn, forcing the dermis to produce a new, tighter and refreshed tissue layer.

However once this protective layer against environmental factors such as dirt and bacteria is removed, there are some health risks which must be accepted such as long periods of healing, inflammation and redness, light-sensitivity, possible irreversible pigment changes and scarring.

Due to structure of skin on the neck and ear, laser re-surfacing is not possible. Also, skin becomes thinner and in most cases the procedure cannot be repeated a second time.

With Dermal Rolling these need not be a worry.
