What are Agera skin peels used to treat?
Various different combinations of Agera skin peels are used to treat acne, acne scarring, ageing skin, sun damaged skin, skin with areas of increased pigmentation and to refresh the skin.
Why are Agera peels revolutionary?
Agera, after 10 years of solid medical research, has developed a combination of water-free peeling materials that can penetrate as deeply into the skin as the reticular dermis without causing any significant irritation. By adding cold water to the treatment, the peel is immediately activated. This is distinct from peels such as those that just contain glycolic, which simply burn their way down through the upper layers. Agera peels does not contain glycolic and uses a combination of L’ascorbic acid (vitamin C) Lactic acid (AHA) Citric acid (PHA) Salicylic acid(BHA)which can be applied in a multi layering process. The peels do not require clients to purchase product which needs to be used at home to prep the skin prior to doing a course of peels. The Agera peels are suited for most skin types even sensitive and inflamed skin, as well as excema and psorisis.
What other treatments can be combined with Agera skin peels?
Microdermabrasion may be used to enhance the effectiveness of the peel. The microdermabrasion can be performed immediately after the peel all over the face or may be used to focus on areas such as scarring or wrinkling that require additional treatment. Microdermabrasion can also be used directly ontop of the peel before the peel is activated. This procedure is unique to our anhydrous peels, and by using the microdermabrasion ontop of the peel the skin becomes more permeable allowing the peels to help with scaring and thick skins. Agera skin peels and dermagenesis medical microdermabrasion is also highly recommended before IPL and laser treatments to enhance the penetration of light.
Why is a course recommended?
Agera peels are designed to be gentle to start with and then are gradually increased in strength as the skin becomes acceptant of the procedure. Several peels usually on a weekly basis are required to see the desired effect.
Agera home care products are essential to gain the full effect. Regular application of the appropriate home care products is essential to work in conjunction with the initiation process that has been started by the peel.
